The cages contain 1/2 bag of spat on shell.
Here is an oyster cage containing oyster spat on shell (plus sea squirts,
clam worms, Cling fish, Grass Shrimp, Ctenphores and many other marine animals).
The cage is hung from the dock using 1/4 " or 3/8" polypropylene line. It
must be suspended so that it does not sit onthe bottom, but remains in thewater
at the lowest tide. (This cage has been raised for demonstration purposes.)
